I Did a 7-Minute Cirque du Soleil Abs Challenge, and My Core Was Shaking Like Never Before

Many who have already probably admit that they did not expect to achieve such a result when they indulged in performing Cirque du Soleil’s “Extreme Abs Workout.”

The exercise was created by Cirque performers and NASM certified trainers Guilhem Cana and Elizabeth. On YouTube, this routine is known as a one-cycle exercise. Cirque’s artists on the Totem show are gathering while biking, while Elizabeth runs this fast, advanced abs workout. According to Cirque du Soleil, who are athletes of the highest caliber, this exercise is truly “extreme” and “advanced,” so it can definitely be a challenge for anyone, even at the advanced stage of exercise.

This “challenge” for the majority was really difficult because, after about the third minute, they began to feel problems and thought to interrupt it, fearing that they would not be able to finish it.

Structure of the Routine:

–           Do 10 repetitions of each exercise,

–           The following isometric hold for 10 seconds

–           Then move on to the next exercise, with no break

The tempo needs to stay steady and there are no high bumps or jumps, but because of the constant engagement, the effort is huge and it breathes to the end.

To perform this exercise all you need is a mat and body weight. The exercises are done on the back, which requires attention to the lower back, which should be pressed into the ground and allow more grip in the core and avoid injury.

Remember to grab a sweat towel and some water as you will really need both.
