In 1976 Jelly Belly released its first sweet and colorful jelly beans with natural ingredients. They offer many flavors such as coffee, strawberry daiquiri, French vanilla, pink lemonade, and even buttered popcorn.

The creator of Jelly Belly, David Klein, wants to replicate the success he has in the last 45 years in the confectionery market with the cannabis-infused jelly beans which contain the cannabidiol oil extract, otherwise known as CBD oil.

Some of the new 38 flavors that Klein created include piña colada, toasted marshmallow, strawberry cheesecake, mango, cinnamon, and spicy licorice. These jelly beans are on a whole new level when compared to the chalky-tasting, greasy, gelatin-based medicated sweets that are sold in dispensaries.

Cannabis Aficionado, the candy inventor based in Los Angeles has told that infusing the jelly beans with the cannabis medical properties is an excellent idea because they are the perfect medium for the doses of CBD.

Klein explained that “The jelly bean is perfect for the proper dosage [of CBD]… we are putting 10 ml in each [bean]. If people want a small dose, they eat one. If they want 20 ml, they can eat two… They can decide what their proper dosage is.”

No one should be surprised that the company that’s selling the CBD-infused jelly beans, Spectrum Confections, already sold out their first batch of jelly beans. You can see this by just opening their online store and see that they’ve completely sold out.

In the future, the company is planning on selling many varieties and flavors for all of their consumers such as the ones that want sugar-free jelly beans. They are even thinking about releasing sweet and sour jelly beans. Additionally, they include fruit juice flavor which recipe is patent-pending.

Klein also said that his mango jelly bean tastes more like mango than mango does.

However, as of right now, the candies will only be infused with CBD instead of tetrahydrocannabinol or otherwise known as THC. THC is the main psychoactive ingredient in marihuana.

The oil of CBD is a non-psychoactive phytocannabinoid in the cannabis plant. This oil has been shown to help many people raging from many problems. Some of these diseases or disorders are arthritis, depression, anxiety, chronic pain, and additional health or medical disorders. The CBD oil has been used especially for the pain relief that has been connected with cancer and its treatment. It can be also used as direct treatment of cancer itself.

Even though Klein is cautious with claiming the health or medical qualities of the CBD infused jelly beans, he claims that his latest inventions are ones that will help everyone.

Klein also said that in the future we will see how foolish the law on marijuana was and how long it took us to get there.
